About Me

Tom Wheeler, Senior Drupal Web DeveloperI have a passion for merging strong design skills together with solid programming.  I am both an artist and a programmer.  As a seasoned instructor at the Art Institute of Portland, I have taught a variety of courses in art, design, programming and interactive media.   I have also been a featured presenter at the WebVisions conference in Portland, OR.

I started off in the Arts, with a BFA degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University.  Over the years I've migrated from design to programming, and have built numerous web sites.  Since 1996 I've also taught hundreds of students skills such as HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript and Python at The Art Institute of Portland.

I live and work just outside Portland, Oregon.  I'm happily married to the best girl in the world, and we have 5 awesome and somewhat nutty kids.  The nuttiness is inherited from me. And yes, I said 5.

I've put some of the highlights below, but you can read a lot more about my experience, education and professional references on my LinkedIn profile. Tom on LinkedIn
